How the verse is chosen
A new verse every day, the same for everyone who visits. The verses come from a list of about four hundred well-loved passages, each read in the World English Bible to be sure it stands on its own, and a few days of the church year have their own: New Year’s Day, Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Pentecost, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The text is the World English Bible, which is in the public domain; the King James Version and Berean Standard Bible are public domain too.
